Spring Show 2016 was a visual success. This year’s show is a little extra special, since it is Mrs. Blair’s 20th year as director of the Vikette Dance Team. Over the past 20 years, she has acted as a compass for so many of her girls, guiding them towards the path of success and not only a successful path in dance, but in life as well. To help commemorate the past 20 years, the Vikettes performed a couple of her favorite dances. Congratulations Mrs. Blair!

A compass is used for navigation, location, and direction. People use it to find their way, whether it is on a hiking trail or on a trip to a new location. But, a compass is not just a tool to be used on a hiking trail. An inner passion and desire to be the best can become a compass to help guide you along the way. This year the Vikettes used their passion for dance to navigate their way through many obstacles. The officers used their compass to help guide them to be the best officers they could be, and together they became a beacon for the team to follow. The team trusted their leadership, and it lead them to be Grand Champions. Being a Vikette is about finding your own compass, your own direction in life. It is never easy being a Vikette, and at times it is very demanding, but when the last curtain falls on the year for these Vikettes, their love for dance will be their compass, leading them to a new year and new passions for the years to come.
